Suzuki Motor Corporation – Japan have today confirmed the release of the next generation Vitara Series II for the Australian market.

Key changes include new two-tone colour options along with substantial improvements in technology ensures passengers can be assisted, protected and entertained at all times. (Full specifications to be confirmed).

The Vitara Series II range will be available in three variants:

• Vitara
• Vitara Turbo
• Vitara Turbo ALLGRIP

The introduction of Vitara Series II will mark the end of Vitara RT-X Diesel in the Australian market.  

Suzuki Australia General Manager – Automobile, Mr. Michael Pachota said the introduction of the Vitara Series II presented an opportunity to refine Suzuki’s offering to meet the needs of today’s buyers.

“The Vitara RT-X Diesel has sold in the Australian market for a number of years. But as consumers continue to make greener living decisions we’ve listened to the voices of our customers and made an informed decision to discontinue the Vitara RT-X moving forward.”

Further adding, “The Vitara that Australian’s know and love only gets better. Aesthetically, Vitara Series II is characterised by bold new styling beaming with strength and energy, a choice of new colours plus improved technology. The all-new Vitara is sure to impress” said Pachota.

In Australia, the Vitara has been awarded Drive’s Best City SUV for three years running with the Vitara RT-S in 2015, followed by the Vitara Turbo in 2016 & 2017.
Vitara series II will be available for purchase from Q1, 2019 with pricing yet to be determined.
